About
Mycorrhiza Biotech
While Mycorrhiza Biotech specializes in truffle detection, analysis, and propagation we have a division dedicated to researching all farming, forestry, and nutrition applications that benefit from mycorrhizal fungi. For example, we are currently developing products to extend the profitability of timber and nut farming operations. Our scientists have identified many potential fungi-crop relationships that will augment traditional crop production.
Additionally we conduct DNA fingerprinting and analysis of unknown organisms present in material of interest provided by our customers using state of the art biotechnology techniques.
Our executives are PMP certified and adhere to the highest industry standards for project management enabling us to deliver products and services that meet client requirements on-time and on-budget. We rely on the integrity, resourcefulness, resilience, and brilliance of our staff to exhaust all avenues of discovery to develop innovative agricultural solutions. Innovation is the key to delivering practical agricultural products, tools, and services that help America’s farms and forests thrive and Mycorrhiza Biotech is at the forefront of innovative biotechnology for agriculture.

Omon.
S. Isikhuemhen, PhD/CSc.
Consultant
Dr. Omoanghe.
S. Isikhuemhen, popularly called Dr. Omon, is an assistant professor
of Mushroom Biology and Fungal Biotechnology at North Carolina A&T
State University in Greensboro. He is also an adjunct Assistant Professor
at the Department of Biology, Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
His research
on truffles dates back to 1998, when he, while doing research at Duke
University as a visiting scientist from Europe, worked on the use of
molecular biology technique to verify the presence of desired truffles
in seedlings produced by Franklin Garland of Garland Truffles Inc in
Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Moreover,
Dr. Omon has collaborated on truffle research with Dr. Rytas Vilgalys,
a professor of mycology at Duke University. Part of the project was
funded by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer
Services. Dr. Omon worked on perfecting the use of molecular biology
based assay to detect truffles in seedlings and established orchards.
He and his coworkers, who continue to research on truffle forming fungi,
have published numerous articles and presentations on truffle diversity
and the problems associated with the cultivation of the truffle-forming
fungus, Tuber melanosporum in North America.
Dr. Omon,
a consultant to Mycorrhiza Biotech brings many years of experience in
truffle research that will help us provide unparalleled service to our
customers and guarantee their satisfaction.
